Join the movement for Transformative Social Change. On Saturday, September 18, 2010, celebrate the National Day for Transformative Change. People, communities, and organizations across the country join together to Take a Stand…and Sit for Change by participating in events featuring various forms of transformative practice.
Real change begins when those that work for social change lead healthy, sustainable lives. With greater awareness comes greater balance, compassion and presence. Working together, agents of social change become more effective in creating a more just, sustainable, and equitable society for ALL.
In three simple steps, you can change the world outside by changing yourself from the inside:
1) COMMIT to the movement for transformative social change by signing up for 108 minutes of inner change at a local SIT for Change event or participate from wherever you are. Register online under these categories: individual, team, organization, or sponsor.
2) RAISE PLEDGES from $5 to $500+ and support a vision for the future. Raise awareness about the power of inner change to affect social change. Spread the word and get pledge support from your family, friends, colleagues and community.
3) SIT for Change on September 18, 2010. Meditate. Organize a sit-in. Do yoga. Or create your own 108 minutes of change. Join people, organizations and communities across the nation in the movement for REAL change.
