The flu has hit harder this year than any time in recent memory. It’s affecting the population so much on the East Coast and South East that New York State and the city of Boston have called in states of public health emergencies. Naturally, everyone wants to avoid getting the flu. So besides just washing your hands, here are a few ways for you to stay immune.
Once you feel that telltale tickle in your throat or the first sniffle of congestion, it’s too late. Symptoms for the flu rear their ugly head about a day to four days after you’ve been exposed to the virus. Then you’re left debating the pros and cons of various over-the-counter solutions in the cold remedy asile of the drug store.
But if you take the right precautions, you can save yourself a whole lot of Kleenex.
